Dear Fr O'Brien
APPLICATION FOR APPROVAL TO CAPITAL EXPENDITURE PROPERTY: ST MARY'S CHURCH & PRESBYTERY
PROJECT TITLE: ROOF REPAIRS TO CHURCH & PRESBYTERY FOLLOWING WATER
INGRESS
PROJECT REF: Z10/004
Thank you for your recent Application for Approval to Capital Expenditure. Your application was considered by the Diocesan Property Committee and was approved to proceed to tender.
Now that we have passed the P1 phase (approval of works to be carried out) we move on to the P2 phase. This is where the diocesan property department, with their building consultants Bradbury's, put the proposed works out for tender and try to find the most competitive quotes. Those quotes are then put before the trustees, who discerning many factors and variables, will then make a decision to approve or not.
The diocese has also appointed Ed Nally, the diocesan legal consultant, to facilitate the sale of the former parish centre on Lock Street. The estates agent he is working with are called Axis.
Any more information I receive from the diocese I'll pass on. Let's keep praying to Our Lady of Oswaldtwistle.
