12 Families say Thank you!

Out of 12 couples who came to the Retrouvaille programme in London, two couples have turned away from divorce! Others said they had rediscovered hope for their marriages. It was a small group for us and the suffering was quite acute. However, there was so much happiness and relief at the end of this weekend. Your prayers and support in newsletters and information boards made this possible. Here is attendee feedback to the following question:

Would you recommend the Retrouvaille programme to other couples?

"Yes - God does not make junk! We are all worthy to be love and be loved in our marriage"

"Absolutely. We came here very unsure, apprehensive. We leave determined and hopeful for our future together"

Thank you again for all your support on behalf of the Retrouvaille team. Our next weekend commences from 17th October

Vigil Mass Time Consultation

Over the last 5 weeks parishioners have been speaking with Fr. O'Brien about the Vigil Mass time on Saturday evenings. From those conversations that Father has recorded so far, there seems to be a preference for 5pm and 5:30pm because of the darker nights in winter and provision for families with younger children. No decision has been made and over the next month Fr. O'Brien is still listening to what parishioners would like in regards the Vigil Mass time.

Gift Aid Envelopes

Parishioners who are using last years blue envelopes for Gift Aid are kindly asked to contact Parish Secretary Ciara at stmarysoswaldtwistle@dioceseofsalford.org.uk. Parishioners Eric and Berni will be making a pilgrimage to Lourdes. If you would like them to light a candle for your prayer intention at the Grotto, please place your intention and donation in an envelope and put in the baskets at the back of church by Tuesday 22nd July.
