School Rosary Rallies – All Welcome

Over the last two weeks I've been in all three of our primary schools (Sacred Heart, St. Mary's & St. Oswald's) teaching the five Luminous Mysteries to the children: The Baptism of Our Lord, The Wedding Feast at Cana, The Proclamation of the Kingdom of God, The Transfiguration and the Institution of the Holy Eucharist. These are powerful moments in Our Lord's life and the graces and fruits from them are still tangible today. On a personal note I've really enjoyed passing on this devotion of our Faith because not only does it bring us closer to Jesus but the Rosary is such a powerful and efficacious prayer. Our Lady of Oswaldtwistle, pray for us.

Sacred Heart SchoolThe staff and pupils of Sacred Heart would like to invite all parishioners to the school hall on Wednesday 19th October at 11am for their Rosary Rally. It will be an opportunity to turn to Our Lady in prayer asking for her intercession for all those in need, both far and near.

St. Oswald's SchoolOver the last few weeks St. Oswald's school have had their intercession box at the back of church for people to place their intentions in. On Friday 21st October at 9:10am the school community would like to invite all parishioners to their Rosary Rally, in the school hall, where all those intentions and petitions will be prayed for by the children.

St. Mary's School – On Friday 21st October the children of St. Mary's school will be leading a Marian procession, departing from school at 1:15pm and arriving at church for 1:30pm, where they will hold their Rosary Rally. The school community would like to invite all parishioners to come along and support them on the procession route (from the school to church along Catlow Hall Street) or join them for the Rosary Rally at church.

Eternal Rest…

This week a number of funerals have come through and are still waiting to be confirmed but let's pray for the repose of the souls of Joan Peters, Martin Gavin, Kathleen Goggin and Kath Riley RIP and keep their families in our prayers.
