10am Mass, The Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary (Feast)
This feast goes back to the 13th/14th century. It was established widely throughout the Church to pray for unity. Like most feasts of Mary, it is closely connected with Jesus and his saving work. The more visible actors in the visitation drama (see Luke 1:39-45) are Mary and Elizabeth. However, Jesus and John the Baptist steal the scene in a hidden way. Jesus makes John leap with joy—the joy of messianic salvation. Elizabeth, in turn, is filled with the Holy Spirit and addresses words of praise to Mary—words that echo down through the ages.

Samaritans: Whatever you're facing, a Samaritan will face it with you.
Every 10 seconds, Samaritans responds to a call for help. We're here, day or night, for anyone who's struggling to cope, who needs someone to listen without judgement or pressure. Samaritans is not only for the moment of crisis, we're taking action to prevent the crisis. We give people ways to cope and the skills to be there for others. And we encourage, promote and celebrate those moments of connection between people that can save lives. We offer listening and support to people and communities in times of need. In prisons, schools, hospitals and on the rail network, Samaritans are working with people who are going through a difficult time and training others to do the same.
Whatever you are going through, you don't have to face it alone. When life is difficult, Samaritans are here – day or night, 365 days a year. You can call free on 116 123 or email jo@samaritans.org

Deacon Adam's Ordination to the Priesthood
It is great news that Adam will soon be ordained to the priesthood. The date, God willing, is Saturday 5th July at Shrewsbury Cathedral. We are hoping to organize a coach from the parish however this is all depends on the numbers of parishioners who would like to go. Initially the 47seat coach would leave St. Mary's at 8:30am for the 12noon Ordination Mass. It would depart approx 3pm/3:30pm. The cost would be £20. There is a list for people to put their names and contact details along with their £20. If we are not able to cover the cost of the coach by the start of June, then all monies will be refunded. Let's continue to keep Adam in our prayers.
Sacred Heart, St. Mary's & St. Oswald's School
This week I visited each of the schools to share the story of Our Lady of Fatima who appeared to the three children, Ss Jacinta, Francisco & Lucia on 13th May 1917. Our Lady taught the young visionaries about praying the Rosary daily for peace in the world. She also called them to embrace penance to help make humanity aware of the hurt it causes and the mercy that Jesus offers to those who wish to change and make amends. Our Lady of Fatima, pray for us.
