Easter Wednesday 23rd April 2025
Dear brothers and sisters,
On Easter Monday many of us woke to the sad news of the death of His Holiness Pope Francis. The following is a message from the Bishop.
So many people, both within the Church and beyond, will be greatly saddened by the death of Pope Francis. May he rest in peace. Please mark these days with Masses for the repose of his soul, with thanksgiving for his ministry and pastoral leadership of the Church in our fractured and fast-changing world. May his teaching live on so that the dignity of every person may be valued and protected and that there be peace in our world and care for our common home.
