Offertory. The collection last weekend (24th//25th November was £ 1220.61). Every week you are all so generous and after last weeks announcement yet again I have been taken back by peoples kindness, prayers and encouragement. Keep praying to Our Lady of Oswaldtwistle who I know is watching over our parish family.

Help Need! On Wednesday 12th December at 6:30pm everyone in the parish would be warmly welcomed to help decorate our church for Christmas. Trees need being put up, crib figures dusted down, brasses polished, window ledges and altars buffed up etc. The Good Book tells us that the labourer deserves his wages so I guarantee Irish Coffee, Mulled Wine and a Mince Pie or two for everyone who comes. Even if you can't clean just come for the craic and atmosphere.

Mass at Springhill. As we begin the Season of Advent there will be a Mass at Springhill care home on Thursday 6th December at 11am. If you would like to come please see Eddie Walmsley and Cecilia Burton or myself for more details.

Carol Concert: On Sunday 16th December at 2pm the St. Mary's Male Voice Choir have kindly offered their services to put on an afternoon of carols and other music to help raise funds for our church. Spread the word. Everyone is welcome.

There will be a Taize Evening on Friday 7th December at 7pm Please come and join us for an Evening

Service of Prayer.

APF collectors/supporters - The winter newsletter and calendars  have now arrived. Please could Collectors pick up their books from the sacristy.  Some of our regular collectors are no longer with us so if anyone has a red box at home that has not been emptied in the last 6 months,.could you please bring it with you to Church one weekend so we can arrange for it to be emptied.  Many thanks.

109th Loyola Scout Group Christmas Fayre. Many thanks to everyone who volunteered help, gave donations, and came along and supported our Christmas Fayre. It was a great success and all monies raised will go to the running of our Group and upkeep of our HQ for the Beavers, Cubs and Scouts.

St Mary's Refugee Sponsorship Project - Christmas Alert. Why not make 'St Mary's Refugee Project' the Christmas charity of your choice this year through simply purchasing our charity stickers! This is how the system works. You purchase "stickers" using money saved by spending a little less on presents you would usually buy. (Alternatively you could simply replace small gifts with our stickers.) The labels/stickers can then be attached to your present or card so your friends and family will clearly know that a kind donation has been made as part of their Christmas gift. Easy! The stickers will be on sale after mass from November, there is no set price and it's a great way to help our Parish Project! Thanks from the Community Project.
