Offertory. The collection last weekend (15th /16thSept) was £769.53. Thank you for your kind generosity.

Home Mission Sunday. The second collection for the bishops conference was £171.25.

Emergency Hospital Call. This week from 3pm Wednesday until 3pm Friday I will be 'on call' for emergencies at the hospital. Because I am unable to plan for an emergency, apologies in advance if I have to cancel some house visits or am late or not back in time for the weekday Masses. Let's pray for all the sick and their relatives as well as all those who work in our hospitals.

Outside Repair. The Diocesan Property Department carried out some work this week outside the church. The man hole cover with the traffic cone over it by the side door of church has now been repaired and made safe.

CAFOD Soup lunch will be held on Friday 5th October 2018 at 12 noon

A celebration of St Oscar Romero. Please join us to celebrate the canonisation of Oscar Romero. Tuesday 23rd October 2018 Mass at 12.10pm with Bishop John Arnold, Cathedral of St John, Chapel Street, Salford, M3 5LE. Refreshments after Mass followed by short talk at 1.30pm on Romero’s Legacy with Steve Atherton, Liverpool Archdiocese Justice and Peace Worker

The Community Refugee Project. A member of the Community Refugee Project will be at the back of church this weekend to give anyone who is interested a standing order form if they wish to contribute to the support of the Refugee Project.

Dates for your diaryLourdes at Home weekend Saturday 6th and Sunday 7th October 2018. On the Saturday there will be the Rosary at 6pm followed by the Vigil Mass and then the Torchlight Procession. On Sunday 7th October there will be a 10am Mass as usual and from 1pm-1:50pm Exposition of Blessed Sacrament, Benediction followed by Anointing of the sick at 2pm. Refreshments will be available after the service.
