Fr. O’Brien Parish Visiting. People are still asking for visits and house blessings so I’ve had to extend this pastoral visiting time into September. This is a very sociable and hospitable parish! If you would like a visit or house blessing etc. then email: sean.obrien@dioceseofsalford.org.uk or phone: (01254) 232433 or leave a note in the sacristy/presbytery. God Bless.

ABC - About Being Catholic. If you or someone you know is thinking about being a Roman Catholic or simply just interested to know more about Catholicism then please let me know. I’ll be starting ABC (About Being Catholic) sessions in late September. It’s not an academic course and there are no exams or tests! It’s just an opportunity to learn more about the prayer, beliefs and traditions of our family the Church. You maybe a “Cradle Catholic” who just wants to refresh your memory about the Faith or you maybe someone who is thinking about joining the Church – whoever you are you are more than welcome. All sessions are on a Thursday from 7pm -8:30pm at St. Mary’s Church. (Dates for 2018: 20th Sept, 4th Oct, 11th Oct, 8th Nov, 15th Nov, 29th Nov, 13th Dec).

Sacramental Programme. If you have a child starting in Year 3 in September who you wish to make their First Holy Communion in 2019, please call into the sacristy before or after Mass and sign the list, giving you and your child’s details. We will contact you in September.

The Big Tidy Up! On Friday 7th September from 6:30pm onwards I will be tidying up the back of church ready for Our Lady’s birthday where at the Vigil Mass the Dean, Fr. Stamp, will bless our newly restored Parish statue of Mary. If you are free and could help I would be really grateful – I’ll make sure the kettle is on and there are some chocolate biscuits! God Bless.
Baptism Course. The next course starts on the 2nd September. For more information please contact Navada Keenan on either 07930 204579 or keenannavada@gmail.com
