Welcome to Fr Rob Moreland who has kindly agreed to step in for Fr John this weekend and will make an appeal on behalf of the Missions. Fr Moreland is from the SMA Fathers who Fr Anthony Dampson belongs to. A second collection for the appeal will take place after Communion.

This Sunday is traditionally a Day of Prayer for Vocations. Due to the Appeal for the Missions this weekend the Ecclesiastical Education Fund Collection will be taken in the next few weeks.

Fr O'Brien will be taking over from Fr John in time for next weekend of 28th/29th April. Fr O'Brien is very much looking forward to being your Parish Priest. I am sure that he is the right priest for the parish. It will be his first role as a Parish Priest so I know that you will look after him and guide him around the area and introduce him to the various local practices. Do remember it will take him time to settle in. If you have any particular responsibility, or would like to be more involved, then do speak with Fr O'Brien. Fr John will be around packing up his belongings this week.

A Social Event on behalf of the Community Refugee project will be held at Franco's Restaurant this Wednesday April 25th at 7.00pm
The three-course meal will cost a reasonable £15.00!
If interested please put your names on the list sheet at the back of the church or speak to Dylan, Eve, Beverley or any member of the Community Project group. Fr John will be present for his last meal in the parish. There are still some spaces available.

Message from Fr Joe Gee

"Dear Parishioners, just a brief note to thank you all for your kindness and support during my time at St Mary's and especially for the lovely card and picture of the Church that was presented to me. God bless, Fr Joe."

The Church will be open each day this week from 8.30am – 5pm

Office hours this week are 9 – 12 Tuesday – Friday

Next weekend will see the publishing of the May Newsletter. Please make sure that any items are handed in or sent by email by Tuesday evening.
