CAFOD Soup Lunch after Mass tis Friday there will be a soup lunch available. Monies donated will be sent to CAFOD. This event we try to hold every first Friday of the month, or the Friday following if other commitments do not allow it to take place on the First Friday. Some children from Sacred Heart School will be attending this Friday. Please try to come and support.

Passover Meal In the past, though not every year, we have served a Passover (Seder) Meal in the Jewish tradition. This gives us an insight into what was happening when Jesus shared this meal with his disciples the night before he died. To run one takes a lot of planning. If you would like to attend, or be involved, then please put your name down on the list at the back of Church so we can judge how much interest there is. It is planned to hold it this year on Wednesday evening 28th March.

Baptism: The Courses of Preparation will begin this Sunday 4th Feb & 4th Mar 2018. Please contact Navada Keenan on 07930 204579 or e-mail keenannavada@gmail.com for more information. All parents who are wanting their child to be Baptised in the next few months are expected to attend both sessions.

The Church will be open each day from 8.30am to 5pm (Thurs until 7.30pm). Please call in and use the opportunity to pray privately or even light a candle.

There is plenty of news in the Monthly Newsletter for February – Please take one home to read if you haven't already done so last week. So please make sure you take the front page of colour yellow and the other page with the Prayer List on it to make up the full edition.

"Walk with Me" Lenten meditations for each day are contained in this booklet that is available free from the back of church.

Next Sunday Some staff and students from Mt Carmel will be in attendance to hand out their newsletter and give an address.

An Exhibition about the Shroud of Turin An exhibition will be on display at Wardley Hall (M28 2ND if you are going via own transport) on Ash Wednesday (14 Feb). Details are on posters around the church. If people wish to go please speak with Fr John so transport can be organised.

Have you started to think what you could do extra for Lent this year? Ash Wednesday is on 14th Feb this year. How about some activity in the parish serving our neighbour?
