We Welcome Fr Francis Kochupaliath who will be with us for about 6 months. I am sure that you will make him feel the warmth of your friendship. He would like to be known as Fr Francy. He will write something about himself for the July Monthly Newsletter. This week he will be visiting the schools.

First Holy Communions will be taking place at the 10am Mass this weekend and both Masses the next weekend. Please keep our children and their families in your prayers. Those making their First Holy Communions this Sunday morning are: Minnie Allonby, Reuben Anderton, Tristan Bamford, Olivia Batt, Kacper Bieiek-Urbanski, Edith Cunningham, Nathan Edmundson, Grace Hindle, Jakub Raimund Majcher, Imogen McGrath, Kieran McKean, Emilia Musial, Zuzanna Pyszczek, Aleksandra Zelinska. Congratulations to them and please keep them, and their families, in your prayers. Certificates will be presented at Masses over the weekend of the 1st/2nd July

Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament It is entirely appropriate that we have Exposition on the Feast of the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ. There is so much to pray about and spend time before the Lord. It has been a tough few weeks with the recent terrorist attacks in Manchester and London, and only this past week those killed in the flats in London due to the horrific fire. Our children on the Sacramental Programme and the forthcoming Ordination of Gavin Landers, plus many other issues that affect our daily lives and the lives of others give us case for prayer. Adoration will begin at 12noon and continue through until 5.45pm when we will have Benediction to close.

There is a list at the back of Church asking people to volunteer to "Watch" over 20 minute slots. Please put your names down either as individuals or as a family. The response last week was very poor for a Catholic parish this size. There needs to be at least two people "watching" at a time. Fr John and Fr Francy will be around throughout much of the time also.

Day for "LIFE" This Sunday there will be a second collection which enables the Church to fund the Anscombe Bioethics Centre, as well as projects that seek to care for life at every stage and in every condition. Prayer cards for the "Day for Life" are available in church. Please take one.

New Parish Secretary Bernie McGuinness has been appointed as the new parish secretary.

Office hours, this week, are Tuesday – Friday 9am – 1pm. If you need anything then please try to keep to the office hours.

Gavin Landers' Ordination – Sat 22nd July If you wish to attend, there is one spare seat on the coach. Please speak to Fr John, Fr Francis or Bernie if you would like to go.

Happy Father's Day to all our Dad's (again!!!)

Happy Birthday to Keeley Mullen who will be 30 years old on Monday! Thanks Keeley and Katie for all you both do in Children's Liturgy and at the Altar.
