Fr Anthony Dampson SMA is staying here with us for a month. Fr Anthony is a missionary priest from Ghana and will be working here in Oswaldtwistle to gain experience. I am sure you will all give him a great welcome as he has much to share with us. Fr John is at another parish this weekend and is sure you will look after Fr Anthony.

Eucharistic Ministers I would like to Commission and Re-Commission any Eucharistic Ministers on the Feast of the Ascension (27/28 May). If you would like to be (re)commissioned please speak with Fr John over the next few weeks. This is an important work within the parish. There will be a training Day and Holy Hour on Sunday 21st May from 2 - 4pm.

The parish office will be open Tues, Weds and Fri this week from 10 – 1pm. Jean, our parish secretary, is retiring at the end of this week. We thank her for all she has done for everyone. Please try to keep to the office hours when making an enquiry to ensure a quick response.

Visits to Church The Church is now open during the day. Please make use of this and pay a visit to pray. Thanks to those who have locked up at the end of the day.

Mass for Migrants On Monday 1st May there is a Mass being held at Salford Cathedral for all those involved with the work for migrants. Time 11.30am. Fr John is the main celebrant and if anyone would like to attend you are welcome to this very special event. Also, later on the same day at the Lowry Theatre, Salford Quays, there is a big community assembly and all families are welcome to hear powerful testimony on the 4 priority issues: hate crime, social care, living wages and affordable housing and homelessness. There are posters in church drawing your attention to these events being organised by CARITAS and Greater Manchester Citizens. This meeting is a ticket only event.

May Monthly Newsletter The next monthly newsletter will be published next weekend. If you have any articles or notices for it then please let us know by this Tuesday night. Thank you.
