16th – 23rd May 2017 Catholic Pilgrimage to Jerusalem, Bethlehem and Nazareth
This Pilgrimage is being organised and led by Fr Michael Waters. There are posters at the back of church and Fr John has some booking forms. Some parishioners have been on pilgrimage to the Holy Land with Fr Waters in previous years and speak highly of how well organised and spiritual it is. I suggest that you enquire early. You book your own flights so the earlier the cheaper. For even more information contact Fr Waters on 01282 423824. There will be an information evening at St John's Parish Hall, Ivy St, Burnley at 7pm on Fri 3rd March.
Old Palms Have you still got last year's palms in your house, car etc? Then please place them in the box at the back of church and we will burn them to make this year's Lenten Ashes.
Collection Envelopes If you would like to have a new set of envelopes in April please let us know. If you are paying tax and would like us to claim back that tax via "gift-aid" then you can donate by either envelop or standing order, either way you need to let Sean Mullen or Fr John know by the end of January. If do not pay tax, then you can either use an envelope, or just donate by placing your gift in the collection basket without an envelope. If you were paying tax and no longer do so please inform Fr John or Sean Mullen as soon as possible.
Parish Centre Membership The annual membership fee of the Parish Centre is now due. If you wish to be a member, then the subscription is just £5. This can be paid after Masses to Margret Duhan.
