This Sunday is "Divine Mercy" Sunday There will be a Service of Divine Mercy Devotions starting at 2pm at St Joseph's, Audley Range, Blackburn. The Devotions will start at 2pm with Eucharistic Adoration – Confessions – Divine Mercy Chaplet – 3O'Clock Prayer, Blessing and procession of the Divine Mercy Image – Mass at 3pm. You are all invited to attend.

 

Congratulations to Harold and Hilda Owen who are celebrating their Diamond Wedding (60th) this Saturday. A poem from "Nonnymouse" to all couples celebrating their anniversary is as follows:

The Parish Office will only be open 10am -1pm Tuesday, Thursday & Friday this week.

 

 

The Altar Fund has now reached £22,928.57 as we seek to raise £30,000 for the altar, baptismal font and lectern. If you wish to make a donation then please place your money/cheque inside an envelope marked "Altar Fund" and if you wish to add any names you would like to be remembered in the document that will be sealed in the altar, please place them in the envelope too. All donations will be treated as anonymous but will be acknowledge by letter. Please be sure to leave us your name and address. Thank you to all those who have so generously supported this project.

 

"Thank you" to Michael Gavin who for many years has been helping out at the back of Church as an apparitor. If anyone can offer to help out at the back in order to welcome visitors, then please speak to those at the back. In spite of previous directives, given years ago, this is not a "male preserve! 

 

Parish Centre Please note that from this week the Parish Centre Bar will only be open on a regular basis Fri and Sat 7.30pm – 11.30pm and Sun 12noon – 9pm. Due to lack of taking on other nights the bar will be closed. The Parish Centre will still be open when requested for private functions on other nights but the bar will be closed unless opened by agreement with the committee.
